Designing the "look"

You should be designing the look of your website using Photoshop for logo's, MENU bars, buttons etc etc. For now stay away from the slice tool ( Lia if you don't know what the slice tool is, then google it) but certain items (logo's) should be saved as PNG's in Photoshop.

Grades for Web Design.

Hey Guys- with the interim rapidly approaching you are all wondering how the grading system works for a class like this. Fortunately with such a small roster it is easy enough to guide and grade almost on an individual basis. So, when I ask you about the progression of what ever projects we are on should show me the point at which you are following along. If there is no attempt made to progress IE- "I just dont want to do this, Mo this SUCK's" then so will the grade.

In short- do as you are told and there is no reason you can't walk away from this class without a very high grade. Just so we are clear, It truly is more important to me that you learned something while here every morning. I know that you have been introduced to soooo much already, that it is important that you are able to fight through the plateaus of the educational process. In other words not everything is Rainbows and Unicorns!!!

Thanks

trying to explain the difference BTW CSS and embedded style sheets.

An embedded  style sheet (which a few of you are using)should be used when a single document has a unique style. Such as a piece of artwork or picture. If the same style sheet is used in multiple documents, then an external style sheet would be more appropriate. CSS allows you to control a larger format of HTML.

Many Breakthroughs Today!!

Today we learned that...

#1 Brett is way more competitive than we took her for.
#2 Lia's computer does not like her.
#3 K gets ignored- but not on purpose!!
#4 Nick is still working on asking his dad to get us into Google for what would be my first organized field trip in 13 years of education.
#5 Damian is a surprising close second in the race to the finished assignments for the HTML page behind Brett.
#6 We welcome Cat Cazzari to our tiny class, follow her blog if you are wondering why she is coming into our class now. if you don't care why she is coming into our class now follow her Blog anyway.

Keep working on your HTML pages and all that I posted in my last BLOG.

Thanks
Mo
