HTML PAGE

Hey guys I want you to be adding specifics to your HTML page- Images, Buttons, maybe a video clip- remember when you're using a CSS your corresponding tags must be correct- so if you have more than one image (<IMG> ) they both have to have their own tags.

So I want everyone to start there, have two or more images on your page once discover how to manipulate them individually comment here so we can all see how its done.

Going to Google!!?!!

Hopefully we can make a trip to Google- But in the meantime you all should be Playing with HTML.

Your newest assignment will be to start and HTML using a variety of fonts, colors and images. one you are comfortable with the basics lets connect and "link" you r notepad "HTML"  with a cascading style sheet (CSS).

HTML is all the coding that goes into these websites, CSS is what gives the look to these websites, you will see when you first start writing code for a website and you preview it by saving your notepad document with .htm all your work will be viewed on a non trafficked www page ( not connected to a server, therefore NOT on the web) but all the work will be Justified to the left. CSS distributes text and images to commanded space and controls color and font size.

Try some HTML and CSS tutorials from http://w3schools.com/, there are other websites that will assist you in writing HTML, if you find a better site please "blog about it" then share it on my comments

Thanks
Mo

Ok so basically all you are doing is watching the movie in the morning, but you should also be thinking of the design of your Photoshop layout.

Creating the look of your page.

Starting Wednesday you will be designing your page in Photoshop. Now that you have watch the most boring video in the world lets start with a Photoshop layout.

Tomorrow, (Friday) start the layout - for your web page.

In computer Graphics I always used inches as measurements, well welcome to the land of Pixels,  In digital imaging, a pixel, or pel[1], (picture element[2]) is a single point in a raster image, or the smallest addressable screen element in a display device; it is the smallest unit of picture that can be represented or controlled. Each pixel has its own address. The address of a pixel corresponds to its coordinates. Pixels are normally arranged in a two-dimensional grid, and are often represented using dots or squares. Each pixel is a sample of an original image; more samples typically provide more accurate representations of the original. The intensity of each pixel is variable. In color image systems, a color is typically represented by three or four component intensities such as red, green, and blue, or cyan, magenta, yellow, and black.

Hows that for a forensic definition? With that out of the way click below to follow the tutorial for.

RESEARCH

Spend a little time today and research how much web designer make or how much it costs to design a web site. This process is lucrative, expanding, and not getting old.
-Next spend sometime going in the opposite direction and finding a BAD website, you can "google" top ten worst websites. remember to site reasons from the packet that would support your findings.

Thanks

Have this ready for Friday!

Hey, you should be looking for WEBSITES that have a very driven purpose, as stated in the packet I handed out on the first day.

Your POST should state reasons why you think the website you have chosen is has more purpose than other websites. Is the site easy to navigate?

You should post a link to the website you want everyone to visit. Everyone should comment on the posted link.
